Privacy

This page is about this website and your Pidge account. We collect as little as we can, so it's short. How we handle the chats on your own websites is in the terms: they're yours, and we only process them to run Pidge for you.

Your account

When you sign up, we store your name, your email address, a scrambled form of your password (we can't read it), and the devices you're signed in on. We use your email to confirm it's yours and to send what matters: sign-in links, invites, and notices about your plan. No newsletters.

Payments

Payments go through Paddle, our payment provider, who handle checkout, invoices, VAT and refunds. Paddle collects your card details and billing address directly; we never see your card. We receive what Paddle tells us about your subscription: your plan, its status and your Paddle customer number. Paddle's own privacy policy covers what they do.

The early-access list

If you joined the waitlist before Pidge opened, we kept your email address, which form you used and when you confirmed it, and emailed you once when there was room. Every email from us has a link that removes your address.

Visiting the site

We don't use analytics, ads or tracking cookies. Fonts load from our own server, not from Google. Our server sees your IP address when it answers a request, like any web server, but we don't build a profile from it.

The chat on this site

The chat bubble is Pidge. If you write to us, we see your messages, which pages of this site you looked at and your rough location based on your IP address. Chats are stored on servers in Norway, which is in the EEA, so GDPR applies.

Who is responsible

Pidge is run by Spill Hosting AS (spillhosting.no), which is responsible for the personal data described here.

How long we keep it

Your account stays until you delete it, which you can do yourself on the Account page in the inbox. It's then gone at once and out of our backups within 14 days. Paddle keeps payment records as long as accounting law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or withdraw your consent at any time. Write to hello@pidge.chat or use the chat on this site.

If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet.
